I just saw a funny movie

I got the chance to see Tropic Thunder in a special sneak preview in Washington D.C. They were not fooling around at this screening. They took all of our phones before we entered the theater and had dudes in night vision goggles making sure no one was filming. All in all there were a lot of funny parts to this film and I would recommend it. It was not as funny as I was hoping it would be but I think I might have had too high of expectations. I need to see it again I think and I bet I will enjoy it even more. There are a couple of scenes that were so funny I bruised my leg slapping it repeatedly.

Check out the viral video below and you might get a hint at the type of humor this movie caters to.

We're Back Baby!

We are back and as mediocre as ever! The new DAP is online and sounding...well...microphone trouble made Steve a little low this week but I will try to fix that in post-production. Steve talks about where the hell he has been and I talk about my trip to Colombia. Riveting audio! Steve talks a little about his new passion, scooter riding! Well, he has not started yet, but here is a picture of what he may soon be using to get back and forth from work. It's actually pretty sporty looking.

I mention on the show that I had a great time in Bogota and enjoyed a lot of nice regional food. Check out the video below to get an idea of some of the things I got to try out. You can see the rest of the pictures and video I took here.

Finally, the music on today's show was a random selections from my iTunes player. The opening song was from the Simpsons Soundtrack, "Songs in the Key of Springfield" called SeƱor Burns. The song at the end of the show was from They Might Be Giants' album "John Henry," called Dirt Bike.

We should be back next week and not in to months. Sorry about that, we will strive not to wait that long. Strangely enough, our subscriptions actually went up while we were gone.

What hell is playing on my iPod?

While Steve is away on Vacation I wasn't sure what to do. So I thought I would play a few songs on my iPod and share with them with you. Is it legal. Maybe? I will link to each track on Amazon.com so the lawyers don't kill me. (I don't make a dime on any of this and I don't advertise so have mercy!)

The first song was off the Billboard Top Rock & Roll Hits: 1968. Tommy James & the Shondells "Mony Mony" was covered my Billy Idol back in the 80s but I still like the original the best.

I then played Weird Al's cover, "Alimony" which was off his Even Worse album. Great stuff!

The 2003 hit from Darkness was the second (or third) song on my iPod. If you have not seen the video for "I Believe in a Thing Called Love," check it out here:

The final song was country power group Alabama and their hit "Song of the South." More famous for "Mountain Music" Alabama was definitely one of the biggest bands to ever hit the country music scene.

Steve and I will be back next week to go over out summer vacations and what the future holds. Until then, enjoy the show!

What Does July 4th Mean to you?

See what an old man thinks about Independence Day.
I personally like the "thieving Injuns" comment the best.

What's Keeping "The Hulk" from Hulking Out at the Box Office?

The Incredible Hulk is not raking in the green any better than the first film even though the newest installment of the franchise has gotten better reviews and positive buzz on the Internets. I myself liked the new Hulk a lot better than the first one. I believe I dissed the Mean Green Machine last podcast saying it wouldn't be any good. I believe I said the original Hulk looked like a steroid abusing cousin of Shrek. Click on the picture of the not-so jolly green giant and read E!'s take on reasons why this is.
