Nearly a dozen useless facts out of a list of 301.

Today's show Steve and I talk about a story we found on digg, 301 Useless Facts
and shaved it down to our favorite dozen or so. They are not necessarily the best of the crop, but they are the best of the ones we read. (301 is a lot and I have to watch the Office.)

As promised, here is the video "Read My Mind" from The Killers. Good stuff! I saw this video in London where they still show videos. What a concept! This video was filmed in Tokyo and has a scene where they are in a capsule hotel. It also has a famous Japanese mascot that teaches kids how to brush their teeth. I think the UK could stand to have that mascot pay them a visit. (To be honest, parts of the American South could as well

Somehow Thomas Edison came into the conversation and it made me think of this Family Guy joke. I love the mutton chops.

Only two weeks until Steve and I go to the Weird Al concert in Baltimore. If you're going to be there let us know! In the mean time I'm about to watch The Office and imagine eating Ben and Jerry's Coffee Heath Bar Crunch. Stupid diet.

I Got Two Turn Tables and a Microphone

Today's podcast is a short one. I had a dinner to go to and Steve had to poop. The real reason we have a show at all is for the fans. Ha! Just kidding, it's to test my new microphone and to see if it sounds any good. To those who listen please send me an email and tell us how it sounds and if you have any issues. Enjoy the short show and we will try to bang out another one soon.

Michael

p.s. Steve requested a Barenaked Ladies song but it was like 9 minutes long. So I replaced it with Helicopters. I love this song. You can buy it at your local record shop or log on to Amazon.com and pick it up there. You can pick up The Very Best of Frank Sinatra while you're at it. I don't get a dime so again, please don't sue me.

Washington D.C. Sakura Matsuri

On April 14, 2007 the Japan America Society of Washington D.C. (JASW) put on the largest Japanese street festival in America. I think over 100 Thousand people attended the Cherry Blossom Festival this year and I was in charge of the karaoke stage. Please enjoy some of the singers.

The Boys Are Back in Town

Steve is back from Florida and I...well I've been home for a while playing with my microphone. Anyhoo, please enjoy the latest show. We talk about a lot of boring things and then the Don Imus controversy. Good times!

You can check out Steve's pictures of his vacation (if that's something you really want to do) by clicking on this handsome man. I believe the Pedro is the unofficial mascot of all the Carolinas.

Here is a video of Steve's trip to the Florida zoo. I personally think that it's criminally insane to pet those death fish but hey, what do I know. Enjoy the show. Remember, you can always rewind to catch all the funny in the opening credits.

You can find the two songs played on today's show on both iTunes and Amazon.com if you are interested. The opening song was Royksopp's Remind Me from their famous album(not in this country or any country you have heard of but trust me on that) Melody A.M. was featured in the fantastic GEICO commercial below. As it was pointed out to me by Steve, the second song, Fall Out Boy's Arms Race was also in a commercial, but I won't bore you with that one. If you must see it, click here.

'ello govnuh!

I hate computers. Just when you think you understand how to do something it stops working. Well fuck. Anyhoo, I found a work around and was able to make a podcast. Let me know if it sounds like crap. I used iTunes to export the original wav file to MP3 so that your damn iPod can play our show. Do you see how we bleed for you people!

This show I am flying solo as Steve is in Florida. Not sure if he is going to Disney world or not, but if he does I better get a souvenir Mickey Mouse watch.

Enjoy the show and be sure to check out the DAP Flickr group to see all the photos I talk about. If you want to send us an email send it to deadairpodcast@gmail.com and be sure to say your name and where you are emailing from.

Steve should be back for the next show. Till then enjoy!

Working on some bugs with my Audacity and my headset so no podcast just yet. Here is a cool picture of a soldier who owes his life to his iPod. Truly someone was looking over this dude.
