What's going on? What year is it? Who's the president?

Ah Shit, it's still 2006, and Bush is still the man in charge. Of course just as I think Bush is the worst leader ever, I get back to back crazy from both the President of Iran Jamie Farr and El Presidente of Venezuela, Tattoo

Hey we sit on billions of gallons of oil but we NEED nuclear power!

What ever, I'm just venting because I'm busy as hell at work and my new kick-ass computer system is living up to it's name. Unfortunately it's kicking my ass up and down the block. This damn thing cost a lot of money and to have to be as buggy as it is really makes me want to poop. (Maybe it was all that bran I ate for lunch?) One thing did cheer me up and it was Weird Al's new video for his CD "Straight Outta Lynwood." The video is for the parody "White and Nerdy" and you can find it all on his website. I'm sure we will put "White and Nerdy" on the next podcast as soon as I get my audacity up and running again. Speaking about running, I hope I can get my bit torrent to start running so I can download some cool legal stuff. I can't think of any examples of what that might be but I am sure it's out there. After next Wednesday I will be done with a symposium that I am helping organize at work. If you are a young man or woman and want to make it rich please go into the hotel catering and AV business. On planet Sheraton a gallon of fruit punch will run you $45. I am not shitting you. $45 American dollars. Want coffee? That's $50 a gallon. Christ on a Popsicle stick, when I saw that on the invoice I almost shit right on the carpet. (catching a theme to my reaction to stress?) After I calmed down and looked for skid marks I looked at the AV costs. To use a laptop computer at the hotel it will cost me $250. For 6 hours. I will rent it again the next day for $250 for only 3 hours. A video projector will run me $500 a day. The microphone will cost me $40 and if I want to hear it that's another $40 for the mixer. 1/2 my budget will be going to the gadgets and the other half will go to food. The rooms are some of the cheapest things to pay for. (did I mention that the sodas are $3 a pop?)

Oh well, it ain't my money. In the end it will be worth it when one of my colleagues comes up to me at the $3K reception and complains about how he didn't get enough portabella mushrooms stuffed with goat cheese. (I'm sure around $15 of fungus) Such is life. Look for a new DAP coming soon.

OK Go, "Here it Goes Again"

OK, you might have seen this everywhere else on the net but I like to jump on a band wagon right before the wheels fall off. The band is called OK Go, and these guys are a lot of fun to watch and if you saw them on the MTV VMAs then you know what I am talking about. The lead singer's sister was the dance choreographer for this video and I think she did a lovely job. The singer is not the bald guy but the guy with the red pants. From what I hear he couldn't concentrate on lip-synching the lyrics and dance at the same time. The bald guy is in the band but I have no idea what he does. OK Go, you guys rock! Enjoy.

Take That, Bitches!!!

That's right. Last week's turn-around time was quick. Only a few days from recording to release on iTunes. Sure it was impressive. You may have even bragged about it to friends. But, since it seems we have a small but loyal following (primarily Bots from what I hear), we felt that we owed you more. So, without further delay, I am proud to say... Recorded yesterday, completely edited today. I have nothing to do with putting it up on iTunes, but I don't think it would be unreasonable to expect the newest podcast to be up on iTunes before the weekend.

[Michael here, I put the podcast on the feed so if you are an iTunes man you can get it there, if not it's also linked here. Enjoy!]

So, sit back, relax, and cringe, as you enjoy another frighteningly good episode of Dead Air Podcast where Michael and I rail on the homeless!

If you are reading this, drop us an e-mail and I guarantee we'll mention you on the next podcast. Alright, we'll mention you regardless of what e-mail you send, but to make it more interesting, ask some type of question. Okay, don't just ask "Are either of you retarded?" I'm not sure we could give you an accurate answer. Well, enjoy!

Don't Download This Song!

Our man "Weird Al" Yankovic is speaking the truth in this wonderful video about the perils of illegal file sharing. And if you were the type of creep, scumbag lowlife that would want to download this song, try going to Al's website.

It's hard to make an honest buck

Sure it looks fake but who cares?

A short little video. Enjoy.

I Believe It's a New Record!

The newest podcast, recorded just last week, is now up on iTunes. (I believe that is a record turn-around!) In case you missed it, you have to search "Dead Air Podcasts" (not the previous "Dead Air Podcast") on iTunes. If you were subscribed to the podcast before last week (meaning you were subscribed to "Dead Air Podcast") you need to subscribe again, this time to "Dead Air Podcasts."

For other wacky Dead Air Podcast fun, check out our photos on Flickr. Enjoy! We hope to record a new podcast this week and hopefully have it up by next weekend, but no guarantees!
